Bournville · Actually managed his thyroid meds
Our senior boy needs his meds twice a day at exact times. Put him in a vet's boarding bit once and it was just a noisy metal cage, poor bloke was terrified. This Easter he stayed with a DBS-checked host in Bournville who actually paid attention to his routine. Got a video of him purring on a rug every single evening. Brilliant service.

Solihull · Patient with our nervous rescue
We've got two rescues, one is super confident and the other literally hides under the bed if a stranger even looks at him. The lady in Solihull was so patient. By the Easter Sunday video update, even the shy one was out playing with a feather toy in her lounge! Beats paying an absolute fortune to cram them both into a double pen at the vets.

Harborne · He looked well smug in the photos
Had a bit of a disaster with a pet sitting app last Christmas (the person barely stayed 10 minutes just to chuck food in a bowl), so we wanted a proper home boarder this time. Dropped Leo off in Harborne before our flight. The DBS check thing gave us proper peace of mind, and the host genuinely just loves cats. He didn't even want to come home to be honest!

Edgbaston · Worth paying extra for a real home
We used to just ask a neighbor to pop in and feed Alfie, but he gets so needy and destructive when left alone in the house for a long bank holiday weekend. Paying a bit extra for him to actually live in someone's centrally-heated house in Edgbaston was 100% worth it. The 1-on-1 attention meant he came back completely chilled out.

King's Heath · No more cattery guilt
We went away for two weeks over Easter and normally I spend half the holiday feeling guilty about leaving Oscar in a cold outdoor run. Never again. The host in King's Heath let him sleep at the bottom of her bed! Worth the money just for the daily WhatsApp updates showing him living his best life.
Olivia M., King's Heath
Sutton Coldfield · Saved us when my sister bailed
My sister was supposed to watch our two tabbies over the Easter weekend but had to cancel last minute. Absolute panic stations! Found Cattery 001 and got matched with a lovely lady in Sutton Coldfield. So glad it happened tbh. The cats got round-the-clock cuddles in a proper house instead of just someone popping in to quickly do the litter trays.

Moseley · Miles better than a cold pen
Was dreading leaving Bella for the Easter break as she's a right diva and hates being locked up. Tried a standard cattery near Solihull last year and she barely ate for days. The sitter we got in Moseley was absolutely fab. Kept pinging me WhatsApp vids of Bella getting chin rubs on their sofa. Such a massive relief.

Birmingham · Drop-in visits just don't cut it
Our Bengal is ridiculously needy and just howls if left alone overnight. We used to pay someone to come round twice a day but it wasn't enough, he'd wreck the carpets out of spite. Finding a cage-free place where he actually lives with a family for the week was a game changer. Came back from Tenerife to a very chill cat. Highly recommend.
Rob C., Birmingham
Shirley · No weird strangers in my house
Used one of those cheap pet sitting apps for a weekend away in Feb and just felt proper uneasy having a random teenager in my house while I was gone. Tried the home boarding thing this time for our Easter trip. Dropped Luna off in Shirley, saw the lovely clean house she’d be staying in, and felt 100x better. She was treated like royalty.

Near BHX · Sorted my holiday anxiety right out
Honestly the handiest thing ever if you're flying out of Birmingham Airport. We dropped our Maine Coon off with a sitter just 15 mins from BHX. Usually I worry sick when we go away, but getting a quick video every morning of him having his breakfast sorted my holiday anxiety right out. Def booking them again for the summer hols.
