What Cat Owners Say About Their Experience ...
18 Feb 2026
Edge Lane · Great with both our cats
We have one cat who loves attention and one who lives under the bed. The sitter was great with both—she played with the confident one but didn't force the shy one, just left treats out for him. By day 3, even the shy one was out! Much better than a cattery where they'd be separated.

Liverpool · Finally found a reliable local sitter!
I’ve struggled to find someone trustworthy in Liverpool since moving here last year. This service was spot on. The meet & greet was really professional (she actually wrote down my instructions about the window locks), and I got updates every single visit. My cat usually ignores strangers, but he was actually sitting on her lap in the photos. huge relief.

Redland · A huge upgrade from Doubletrees
We've used Doubletrees for years, but booking is a nightmare and the drop-off hours are so strict. Finding a vetted sitter in Redland who is flexible with key collection was a lifesaver. Plus, getting WhatsApp videos instead of silence made my holiday so much more relaxing. It feels much more personal.

South Ken · No more stressful drives down the M4!
I used to drive an hour out to a "luxury" cattery in Surrey just to avoid standard metal cages, and the traffic was always a nightmare. Finding this cage-free home boarding right here in South Kensington is a game-changer. My Bengal had a whole room to roam in the sitter's flat, real furniture to sleep on, and zero travel stress. Worth every single penny.

Bearsden · Way better than the freezing outdoor pens
Even the so-called 'luxury' catteries we’ve tried out in the countryside get absolutely freezing during a Scottish winter. Leaving our 14-year-old senior cat in a warm, real home environment right here in Bearsden was such a relief. She had her own sunny window seat and the sitter was fantastic with her daily medication. We won't use anyone else now.

East Village · I’ll never use a traditional cattery again
I used to dread going away because my cat, Miso, would come back from catteries smelling of chemicals and looking stressed. Picking him up from here was a totally different experience. He was asleep on a velvet chair when I arrived! It’s spotless, calm, and clearly run by genuine cat people.

Newton Mearns · No more stressful trips down the M77!
We used to drive 40 minutes out to a cattery in Ayrshire every time we went abroad. Our British Shorthair hated the car, and to be honest, the metal pens were depressing. Switching to a vetted sitter in Giffnock was a revelation. She stayed in her own familiar environment, and the sitter even brought our bins in and sorted the post. A truly premium service that we will definitely use again.

East Village · A true "Concierge" experience for my Ragdoll
Living in a high-rise, I worry about safety and stimulation. The Stratford team was incredible—my cat had his own "room with a view" of the Olympic Park and was groomed daily. It felt more like a boutique hotel than a standard sitter. The daily video updates were the highlight of my trip.

W8 · They actually followed my 3-page care list!
I admit it, my Persian cat is ridiculously spoiled and on a very specific raw food diet. Traditional catteries always mess it up. I left extremely detailed instructions for the sitter near High Street Ken, and she followed them flawlessly. She even noticed when Coco was slightly fussy one evening and stayed an extra 30 minutes to hand-feed her. Incredible dedication.

Mossley Hill · Helped with post-op recovery
Bad timing as our cat had just been spayed and had to wear the cone of shame while we were away for a wedding. The sitter was brilliant—checked her stitches, made sure she was eating soft food, and gave her plenty of cuddles. It was such a relief not to have to cancel our trip.

Clifton · No more driving out to Little Hayes!
We used to trek all the way to Little Hayes Cattery every time we went skiing. The cat hated the car ride and the metal pens. Switching to a home sitter in Clifton was the best decision. She came to our flat, watered the plants, and sent videos of Albie purring on his own sofa. Worth every penny to avoid the M5 traffic.

Notting Hill · My Sphynx actually stayed warm!
Hairless cats get cold so easily, and the 'luxury' cattery we tried in Surrey was basically a glorified shed with a heat lamp. This time, we used a Cattery 001 home sitter in W8. Our boy literally spent his whole week curled up by her radiator and sleeping on her lap. The daily WhatsApp photos of him looking so cozy and spoilt made my holiday.
Chloe & Marcus, Notting Hill

Crosby · She actually got him out from under the bed!
My boy is a rescue and usually hides or hisses at strangers. I warned the sitter he might not come out, but by the second visit, she sent me a video of him playing with a string toy! She clearly knows cats and didn't force him. Honest relief to find someone who just 'gets' it.
Sarah, Crosby

Hyndland · No more stressful drives on the M8!
We usually use a cattery out near Paisley, but the drive on the M8 with a crying cat is a total nightmare. Finding a vetted sitter right here in the West End was brilliant. She handled our tricky tenement buzzer with no issues, kept the heating on so our boy didn't freeze, and sent WhatsApp videos every day. Worth every penny to avoid the traffic.

Merchant City · Handled our apartment security perfectly
Living in a secure building in the Merchant City, I'm always wary of handing out fobs to strangers. The sitter from Cattery 001 was fully vetted and so professional during the meet & greet. My indoor Ragdoll loved the one-on-one attention, and I loved getting the video diaries while I was away on business. A true premium alternative to a cage.

Finnieston · A lifesaver after Rover sitter let us down
We booked someone off Rover, and they cancelled on us 48 hours before our flight from Glasgow Airport. Absolute panic. Cattery 001 stepped in immediately. Our sitter was fully DBS-checked, super professional, and had no problem dealing with our tricky tenement storm doors. The daily WhatsApp videos of our cat purring on the sofa gave us total peace of mind.

Southville · Way better than the pens at Aristocats
My rescue cat, Luna, was traumatized after a week in the pens at Aristocats last year. She came back thin and scared. This experience was night and day. The sitter (Sarah) was amazing—she just hung out in the living room while Luna got used to her. By day 3, Luna was sitting on her lap! I’ll never use a cattery again.

Stratford · Finally, a stress-free alternative to catteries
My British Shorthair is terrified of cages and loud noises. The home environment here is stunning—quiet, secure, and full of natural light. Seeing him lounge on a real sofa instead of a metal pen made me feel so much better. If you want your cat to be spoiled, book here.

Far better than a traditional cattery
My cat hates catteries and always comes home stressed. This home boarding service is a game-changer. He stayed with a lovely couple in Bruntsfield and was treated like royalty. He came home relaxed, happy, and like he'd just had a little holiday of his own. We won't use anything else now.
Alistair G., Edinburgh

Didsbury · So much better than a kennel
I didn't want to drive my cat 45 minutes out to a cattery on the outskirts. Finding a home boarder right here in Didsbury was a lifesaver. The house was lovely, strictly no cages, and I could drop him off easily before my flight. He came home completely relaxed.
Sarah J., Didsbury
22 Jan 2026
Blackwall · Perfect for my indoor-only ragdoll
My cat has never been outside, so I needed a sitter who understands the importance of keeping doors shut. The sitter in Blackwall was meticulous. She played with him for hours to burn off energy since he couldn't go out. He was so calm when I got back.
Elena R., Blackwall

Stratford · 3 weeks away & total peace of mind
Going on a long holiday usually fills me with guilt. But honestly, I think Bella had a better holiday than we did! The daily videos showed her chasing feathers and snoozing in the sun patches. She wasn't even desperate to leave when we got back, which says everything.
Sarah J., Stratford

Canary Wharf · Seamless key collection from concierge
I live in a secure building in E14 and was worried about the logistics of handing over keys. The sitter knew exactly how to deal with the concierge for key collection and return. It made my business trip completely stress-free. Very professional service.

East Village · I was so nervous, but the updates saved me
This was the first time leaving my rescue cat, Luna, with anyone other than family. I was panicking! But the team sent me a WhatsApp video within an hour showing her already eating and exploring the living room. It wasn’t just "cat sitting," it felt like she was hanging out at a friend's luxury flat.

Exceptional care for my senior cat with meds
Our 17-year-old cat requires daily medication and a lot of patience. I was worried a standard sitter wouldn't cope, but the sitter we found near Morningside was wonderful. She had experience with older cats, managed the meds perfectly, and spent ages just sitting with him. It felt like leaving him with a friend.
Emily R., Edinburgh

Stratford · Handled my cat's medication perfectly
My older boy needs insulin twice a day, so I’m usually terrified to travel. The concierge team didn't just "manage" him; they pampered him. They were totally professional with his meds and sent me timestamps so I knew he was safe. He came home relaxed and actually a bit fluffier than when he left!

Chorlton · Saved us last minute!
Our usual sitter cancelled 3 days before our flight and I was panicking. Cattery 001 found us a host in Chorlton immediately. The house was lovely and totally cat-proofed. The daily photos of Luna sleeping on the bed put my mind at ease. Honest life savers.

Perfect solution for our indoor cats
Living in a flat at Leeds Dock, I was really worried about finding a sitter who understood strict indoor-only safety. The sitter we found was fantastic—she lived in a secure apartment nearby and totally "got it." She sent me videos of them bird-watching from her window every morning. It was such a relief not to worry about open doors.

Westferry · 2 weeks of perfect care
We went back to the US for two weeks and didn't want to leave our cat in a kennel for that long. Cattery 001 matched us with a lovely couple in Westferry. They treated him like royalty. The daily WhatsApp updates made being so far away much easier.

She deserves a medal for dealing with Barnaby
Barnaby is not a nice cat. He hisses at everyone and hides under the sofa for days. I warned the sitter, but she just let him be. She didn't try to force cuddles, just made sure he ate and was safe. She actually managed to get a photo of him sitting on the windowsill, which is a miracle. If she can handle him, she can handle any cat.

Holland Park · So much safer than those generic pet apps
We tried one of those big sitter apps last year and the person couldn't even figure out our house alarm in Holland Park. Never again. The Cattery 001 team is completely different. Our sitter was DBS-checked, totally professional with the keys, and so respectful of our home. They sent gorgeous WhatsApp videos of Jasper every morning. A proper premium service.

King's Road · Truly 5 star indoor experience
We usually hire drop in sitters from Cat in a Flat, but our Bengal gets incredibly lonely and destructive during long Bank Holiday weekends. Cattery 001 matched us with a fully vetted host in Chelsea. He had the run of a centrally heated lounge instead of just a quick 20 minute visit. It’s literally a luxury hotel experience for cats.
Eleanor V., Chelsea

Manchester · I was worried my cat wouldn’t eat

Middlesbrough · Friendly, affordable, and local
I usually rely on family, but they were away too. I didn't want a cold outdoor pen for my cat. The sitter in Middlesbrough was just down the road and charged a very fair price. My cat came home relaxed and well-fed. I will definitely be using this service again next summer.

Better than the catteries in North Leeds
We usually use a cattery near the airport, but our British Shorthair, Monty, always comes back sulking. This time we tried home boarding with a lady in Chapel Allerton. The difference was night and day. Monty had the run of a lovely house and garden view. When we picked him up, he was calm and purring. Worth every penny.

The communication was 10/10.

Islington · Finally a stress-free solution for my timid rescue cat
I was terrified to leave my rescue cat, Luna, in a traditional cattery because she is so skittish and hates loud noises. Finding a home-based boarder in Islington was a game-changer. There were no cages and no barking dogs—just a calm, normal home environment. The sitter sent me daily updates on WhatsApp, and I could see Luna relaxing on the sofa within 24 hours. If you have an anxious cat who needs a quiet space, I can't recommend Cattery 001 enough."

Much better than the drive to the cattery
We usually drive to a cattery near the airport but the cat screams the whole way in the car. Decided to try this instead. Found a lady in Harborne who has a massive garden window. Cat seemed fine when we picked him up, not sulking like usual. Will definitely do this again, saves the hassle.

York · Kept my Persian's coat knot-free
I have a high-maintenance Persian who needs daily brushing or he gets matted. I was worried a sitter would ignore this. The lady in York was amazing—she brushed him every evening and even cleaned his eyes properly. He came home looking pristine. It’s rare to find someone who understands high-maintenance breeds.

Georgian Quarter · Handled our tricky alarm system!
Our flat has a dodgy alarm that goes off if you don't type the code in 10 seconds. I was worried, but the sitter handled it no problem. She was great with our shy Ragdoll too, sent a video of him actually eating (he usually strikes when we leave). Very professional service.
Liam, Canning St
4 Jan 2026
Brighton · Persuaded my picky eater to finish his meals
My cat gets depressed when I leave and stops eating. A normal cattery just leaves the bowl there, but my sitter in Brighton actually sat with him and hand-fed him treats to get his appetite going. By day two, he was eating normally. You don't get that kind of personal attention in a kennel.
Lucy G., Brighton
4 Jan 2026

Wimbledon · My two cats could stay together in the same room
The best part about this service is that my two cats weren't separated. They slept in the same room and had the run of the apartment together. It was half the price of booking two separate pens at a cattery, and they were much less lonely having each other.
Ben F., Wimbledon
2 Jan 2026
Liverpool · Safe and secure for my indoor-only cat
My cat is an "escape artist" and tries to dash out every open door. I was so nervous about using a home boarder. The sitter in Liverpool was amazing—she had a double-door system and was hyper-aware of safety. She kept him strictly indoors as promised but gave him plenty of window perches to watch the birds. I’ve never felt so relaxed leaving him.

Bristol · Experienced with raw food diet and strict feeding routine
My Bengal is on a strict raw food diet, and many catteries won't handle raw meat or don't have the freezer space. The sitter in Bristol was completely unfazed. She had plenty of freezer space and followed his weighing instructions perfectly. He came back looking shiny and healthy. It's a huge relief to find someone who understands complex dietary needs.
James P., Bristol

The sitter was brilliant—she adjusted the thermostat for us, made sure our anxious rescue cat had plenty of lap time, and sent updates every single day. So much better than a cold outdoor cattery pen.
James MacLeod, Dennistoun

Kelvinside · Handled his thyroid medication like a pro
Barnaby is 15 and needs pills twice a day. Our local vet offered boarding, but it’s just a clinical cage in the back room and he gets so depressed. Finding a dedicated home sitter in the West End who is actually comfortable giving medication was amazing. She sent us timestamps of when he took his meds and photos of him sleeping in his favourite sunspot. Unbeatable care.
Dr. E. Henderson, Kelvinside

Hampstead Heath · Saved our Easter ski trip
We used Rover last Christmas and the gig-economy sitter barely stayed 10 minutes a day to feed our Ragdoll. For our Easter trip, we booked Cattery 001. The difference is night and day. Our cat stayed in a beautiful Hampstead home, fully cage-free, and we received detailed, long HD videos every single day. Never going back to generic apps where anyone can sign up.

Lark Lane · Way better than the cattery we used last year
Last time we put Geo in a cattery he came back with a cold and sulked for a week. This was completely different. The sitter just came in, fed him, played with him, and he stayed in his own bed. Got daily pics on WhatsApp which stopped me worrying. Came home to a chilled cat and the plants were watered too. Sorted.

Kensington · Discreet and premium service
Living in a tight-knit mews, we didn't want random strangers coming and going while we were in France. The sitter matched with us was incredibly discreet, polite, and clearly a feline expert. Clapham · Gentle socialization for our two young kittens
This was the first time we left our 4-month-old kittens, and we were worried about them being lonely. The home boarding setup was ideal because they got 1-on-1 attention and playtime that they wouldn't get in a kennel. The sitter in Clapham played with them for hours and kept them strictly indoors as requested. They came home happy and well-socialized."

Isle of Dogs · My go-to for frequent work trips
I travel twice a month for work and hate dragging my cat to a cattery every time. Having a vetted sitter nearby in the Isle of Dogs who can step in last minute is a game changer. My cat stays in his own warm home and is much happier when I return.

London · 4-week stay during our home renovation (Better than a cattery)
We were moving out for a month to renovate our kitchen and couldn't keep the cats in a construction zone. Putting them in a cage for 30 days felt cruel. The 'long-term cat boarding' option here was perfect. They lived in a sitter's apartment in Canary Wharf, got plenty of cuddles, and we got a discount for the extended stay. When we picked them up, they looked healthier and happier than when we left them!"
David & Pri, Canary Wharf (Long-Term Stay)

17 Dec 2025
Edinburgh · They handled my grumpy cat with patience
My cat is not exactly friendly with strangers and can be quite hissy. I was worried a sitter would just ignore him or be scared. The sitter in Edinburgh was amazing—she gave him space when he needed it and slowly won him over with treats. By day three, she sent me a photo of him sitting on her lap. It takes a real cat lover to have that kind of patience.

Hackney Wick · Barnaby’s favourite holiday home
We live in the Wick and used to trek across London to a cattery. Never again. Dropping Barnaby off here is so easy, and the apartment setup is beautiful—he spends hours watching the birds from the big windows. He honestly looked disappointed when I came to pick him up.

Horfield · Much better than the cages at Frenchay
Our nervous Ragdoll just shuts down at traditional places like Frenchay Cattery. It’s too loud/cold for him. The sitter here was so patient—she just sat on the rug and read a book until he came out. He actually ate all his food, which never happens when we use a cattery.

Mike & Sarah, North Street

Gloucester Road · Saved us when a major app let us down
We had a sitter booked on one of those big pet apps who cancelled 48 hours before our flight to Dubai. Pure panic. Cattery 001 matched us with a fully vetted sitter near Gloucester Road the very next day. The meet & greet was so thorough—asking about microchip details and vet emergency numbers—things the app sitters never bother with. The peace of mind was incredible.
James T., SW7
16 Dec 2025
Shawlands · A massive step up from the generic pet apps
We booked a student off a popular pet app last year who barely stayed five minutes each visit. Cattery 001 is on a completely different level. Hampstead · Professional care for an elderly diabetic cat requiring insulin
My 16-year-old tabby needs insulin injections twice a day, which makes travel almost impossible. Most sitters aren't comfortable with needles, but the Cattery 001 team found me an experienced sitter in Hampstead who knew exactly what to do. They stuck to his strict feeding schedule and sent me videos of him happily exploring their garden. It’s rare to find this level of medical competence in a home boarding setting."

Earl's Court · Way better than boarding at the local vet
Our vet in Notting Hill offers boarding, but it’s essentially just a clinical cage in the back room. My cat gets so depressed there. The home environment with Cattery 001 was night and day. He stayed with a lovely vetted sitter in Earl's Court, had a window to watch the birds, and looked so relaxed in the daily photos. The only service I’ll trust from now on.

Manchester · Lifesavers for emergency same-day cat boarding
I had a family emergency and needed to fly out of Manchester Airport the same afternoon. Every commercial cattery was fully booked or closed. I contacted Cattery 001, and they matched me with a local sitter in Didsbury within an hour. The booking process was seamless, and they even handled the handover quickly so I could make my flight. It turned a nightmare situation into a relief knowing my cat was safe in a real home.

London · Very adaptive team
What I thought would be a straightforward booking turned into something more complicated.
They adapted as things changed instead of sticking rigidly to the original plan.

I was nervous but it was fine
First time leaving my rescue cat with a stranger so I probably texted the sitter too much! She was lovely about it though. Staying in a real home in Sutton Coldfield suited my cat much better than a cage. She actually ate her food which she never does at the kennels.

Sorted us out last minute
Our usual sitter cancelled on us 2 days before our trip. Panic stations. Found these guys on Google, they sorted a meet & greet for the same evening. David was sound, keys were easy to drop off. Cat was alive and fed when we got back.

London · Boarding support during a house move and pregnancy
We were moving house while my wife was heavily pregnant and needed temporary care for our two cats.
The team helped with transport, allowed extra time for visits, and provided daily updates so my wife could stay connected.

Bournemouth · Amazing care for my blind rescue cat
My cat lost his sight last year and bumps into things if furniture is moved. I was terrified to move him to a new house. The sitter in Bournemouth was incredible—she kept her layout exactly as described and guided him around until he felt safe. She really went above and beyond to make him feel secure.

London · Boarding support for an international student returning to China
I needed affordable boarding while travelling back to China during the holidays.
The team adjusted the price to fit my budget and made extra effort to send daily updates using apps I could access from abroad.

Swansea · So glad to finally find a home boarder in Wales
It’s been hard to find alternatives to kennels in South Wales. Finding a vetted home sitter in Swansea was a relief. The booking process was simple, and the sitter was a genuine cat lover. She even spoke Welsh to him (which he’s used to!). Diolch yn fawr for the great service.

Stoke-on-Trent · Won over my terrified stray
My cat was a street cat and is terrified of men. I needed a female-only environment. Cattery 001 listened to my request and found a lovely female sitter in Stoke who lived alone. She was so quiet and gentle that my cat was sitting on her lap by the second day. They really listen to your specific requirements.

Altrincham · Finally someone who understands grooming
I have a high maintenance Ragdoll who needs brushing every day or he gets matted. I was worried a sitter would ignore this, but the lady in Altrincham was amazing. She brushed him every evening and he came home looking pristine. Highly recommend for long-haired cats.

London · My cat settled really well
My cat is extremely shy and reacts badly to new environments.
I was worried the entire stay would be stressful, but things went much better than expected.

Wavertree · Saved my curtains!
My two Bengals are absolute chaos if they get bored. I was dreading coming home to shredded curtains or knocked-over plants. The sitter clearly played with them loads because they were fast asleep when I got back. She even swept up the litter they kicked everywhere. Honestly, life savers.

The daily updates are everything!
It makes such a difference getting those photos and videos every day. Seeing my cat, Jasper, curled up on the sitter's sofa looking completely content was the highlight of my day while I was away. It's a premium service, but for that level of reassurance, it's absolutely worth it.

Reliable. Turned up on time.
Needed someone last minute for a work trip. Just wanted someone who actually replies to texts and turns up. David was sound—picked up the keys, fed the cats, sent a quick video each day. No issues.

E20 · Better photos than I take myself!
I missed my boys so much, but waking up to beautiful portraits of them every morning made it so much easier. You can tell the team genuinely loves cats. The apartment is beautiful too—perfect for indoor cats who are used to a bit of luxury and don't like loud noises.

Reliable, professional, and super convenient
As a busy professional living in Leith, I needed a sitter I could trust completely with my keys and my two cats. The matching process was seamless, and our sitter, David, was fantastic. He was punctual, communicative, and left the flat spotless. The cats were totally chilled when I got home. Highly recommend.

Good with my grumpy old boy
My cat is 18 and can be a bit snappy if you pick him up wrong. Was worried a sitter wouldn't have the patience. The lady in Moseley was great though, she just let him be and gave him his meds in his food without a fuss. He looked well fed when I got back.
